&lt;p&gt;1. Heat the butter in a large saucepan. Add the onion and cook for a few mins to soften. Throw in the garlic and ginger, cook for 1 min more, then add the parsnips and spices. Cook for a few mins until fragrant. Pour over the stock and gently simmer for 30 mins. Add most of the cream, bring to the boil, then turn off the heat.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2. Blitz the soup until completely smooth in a blender or with a stick blender. The soup can now be chilled, then frozen for up to 3 months. Serve in bowls, drizzled with remaining cream and the olive oil, scattered with cumin seeds, sliced chilli and coriander leaves.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Peel onions and dice. Wash vegetables and peel if necessary. Wash parsley. Fry onions in butter until translucent.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Remove skin from chicken and rinse. Give chicken in to the crock pot. Add vegetables, fried onions, herbs and spices. Add water until the chicken is covered. Put on lid and cook on  &quot;LOW&quot; for 6 - 8 h until the meat begins to fall from the bone. Drain through a sieve and bring to the boil again, fill hot into twist-off-bottles.&lt;/p&gt;

For seasoning I used just a pinch smoked paprika, giving the soup that extra something. Serve with basil and parmesan shavings.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Heat a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the oil, onion, garlic, bay leaves and thyme and cook for 4-5 minutes or until the onion is tender. Add stock, chicken, potato and rice, bring to the boil and cook for 10-12 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside. Cook for a further 5 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the potato is tender. Shred the chicken, return to the pan and add the broad beans, salt and pepper. Cook for a further 2 minutes or until the chicken and broad beans are warmed through. Serve soup topped with parsley. .&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Mix the plain and strong flours with the salt in a large bowl. Using a mortar and pestle, or a blender, grind the almonds to a creamy paste with the sugar and 100g of the water, then beat in the remaining water and the yeast. Stir this liquid in with the dry ingredients and mix it all together until you have a soft, sticky dough. Scrape any dough from your fingers into the bowl, then cover and leave for 10 minutes.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Rub 1 tsp of corn or olive oil on the work-surface and knead the dough on the oiled surface for 10 seconds, ending with the dough in a smooth, round ball. Clean and dry the bowl, then rub lightly with a tsp of oil. Return the dough to the bowl and leave for a further 10 minutes. Remove the dough, knead once more on the oiled surface, returning the shape of the dough to a smooth, round ball. Place it back in the bowl, cover, and leave for 1 hour in a warm (21-25°C) place.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Oil and flour a deep loaf tin (10 x 18cm). Lightly flour the worksurface and shape the dough into a baton. This time, however, tap the ends in before rolling it back and forth to form a smooth cylinder the same length as the tin. Drop the dough seam-sideupwards into the tin, and leave to rise for 1,5 hours or until doubled in height. If you&apos;re using a Pullman tin, add the greased lid at this point. Preheat the oven to 210°C/410°F/gas mark 6 1/2. For an open top loaf, lightly dust the dough surface with flour. For a closed Pullman loaf, just check that the dough nearly touches the lid. Bake in the centre of the oven for 25 minutes, then reduce the heat to 190°C/375°F/gas mark 5 and bake for a further 20 minutes, until the loaf is a good golden-brown. Leave to cool on a wire rack.&lt;/p&gt;

Add the fennel, finely chopped coriander and Pernod (if using) and cook for 2 mins or until most of the Pernod has evaporated. Add the coconut milk and 200 ml of water. Bring to the boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 10-15 mins until the fennel is tender.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2. Add the soy sauce, lime juice and sweet chilli. If the mixture is a bit too thick, add a dash of water. Serve piping hot, garnished with a few coriander leaves.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;2. Add the spices and cook for a couple of minutes, then add the coriander stalks, lentils, tomatoes and stock. Bring to a simmer and stir in the tamarind paste. Simmer for 20 minutes until lentils are tender, then blend until completely smooth.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;3. Chop the coriander leaves and mix together with the yoghurt. Swirl into the soup before serving.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;1. Place the tomatoes, onion, garlic, potato, olive oil, orange zest, saffron, thyme, fennel seed, sugar, salt, and cayenne pepper into the slow cooker. Cover and cook on HIGH for 3 to 3 1/2 hours. The soup will be quite thick, but you can thin with a bit of hot water or chicken broth if you like.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2. Remove the strips of orange zest and discard. Break each egg into a heatproof cup. Lower the cup into the soup so the egg can flow out gently. You will easily be able to cook 2 eggs at once; if you have an oval cooker, 4 will fit; otherwise cook in 2 shifts. Cover and set a timer for 5 minutes for runny yolks, 7 minutes for firmer yolks. (You can test them for doneness by gently pressing each yolk with a spoon.)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;3. To serve, use a slotted spoon to gently slip a poached egg into the bottom of each shallow soup bowl. Ladle the hot soup over the egg, sprinkle with parsley, drizzle with olive oil, if desired, and serve immediately.&lt;/p&gt;

In Germany asparagus always means the white &quot;spargel&quot;. This year the German spargel season began at Easter and it ends always on June, 24 th. &quot;Cherries red, spargel dead&quot; is an old country saying. To prepare a German White Asparagus Cream Soup you first cook a broth from the peel and trimmed ends adding lemon and sugar. Remove peel and ends and  cook the asparagus pieces for about 8 mins in the broth. Remove asparagus, add cream and season with lemon, salt and pepper. Give back the asparagus into the soup, warm through and add meat balls if you like.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;1. To prepare the broccoli, cut off the florets and chop them.Trim off the bottom 2 inches of each stem, peel the stems, and thinly slice. Combine the broccoli, oil, garlic, thyme, broth, wine, and lemon juice in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2. With the back of a large spoon, mash some of the broccoli against the side of the cooker; the soup will be chunky. Or for a smooth soup, puree with a handheld immersion blender or transfer to a food processor or blender and puree in batches. Season with salt and pepper. Serve in bowls, passing the toast and Parmesan.&lt;/p&gt;
