Tuesdays with Dorie: World Peace Cookies

TWD This week's recipe on page 138-139 from Baking: From my home to yours: World Peace Cookies has been chosen by Jessica of cookbookhabit

A great pick, these cookies are made by the easy slice and bake method. I used Maldon sea salt instead of fleur de sel. The cookies are crisp but a little chewy. We liked them, our problem, they were gone too fast...

For the recipe visit Jessica of cookbookhabit. Here are the ingredients in metric units for "Friends of the Scales" like me.

Jules (guest) - 2009/02/03 15:57

Those look really tasty! I love the teacup.

I love these cookies! They're one of my faves. Yours turned out just great! Well done!

Mine didn't last very long.

I love your tea cup.
Di (guest) - 2009/02/03 17:46

I love that you give the ingredient weights, Ulrike! I use my scale a lot. I really need to get in the habit of using grams instead of ounces, though.

Teanna (guest) - 2009/02/03 17:58

Wow! So perfectly round and gorgeous!

Natashya (guest) - 2009/02/03 20:08

Caitlin (guest) - 2009/02/04 02:22

Hehe - friends of the scales :) I've become one with all of my bread baking - so much more accurate. Your cookies look awesome!

rainbowbrown (guest) - 2009/02/04 05:31

Ooh. I had the same problem - gone too quickly. They look great.

Shari (guest) - 2009/02/04 05:46

Your WP cookies look wonderful. YUM!

Zuckerquelle

Rohrzucker in Deutschland.

ostwestwind - 2009/02/05 21:25

So gravierend finde

Conny (guest) - 2009/02/08 22:03

Danke!

ostwestwind - 2009/02/08 22:25

Nein, ich habe

stinknormalen braunen Zucker genommen :-)
Margaret (guest) - 2009/02/06 20:11

Wonderful looking cookies. Look crusty, chewy, chocolatey good.
