This week's recipe on page 366-367 from Baking: From my home to yours: Summer Fruit Galette has been selected by Michelle from Michelle in Colorado Springs. For the preparation you roll out half of the Good for Almost Everything Pie Dough, coat it with fruits and use a kind of custard - egg, sugar and butter. IMHO this custard gives the galette a strange look, Steph said it has a sort of "snotty" looking. A agree with that, perhaps that's the reason why there's no picture in the book? In any case, the taste was good.

For the same reason as last week I substituted the rhubarb with redcurrants. I followed the advice to freeze the galette 15 minutes before baking. This time a crisp crust, no sogginess like here.
