Tuesdays with Dorie: La Palette's Strawberry Tarteletts
Amidst the strawberry season in Northern Germany Marie over at A Year in Oak Cottage chose La Palette's Strawberry Tart on page 374 from Baking: From my home to yours. A crisp tart filled with marinaded strawberries, a recipe according to my taste. In our village you can buy freshly picked strawberries in these stalls. On my way to the supermarket to buy the crème fraîche I passed:
I baked 8 tartelets from this dough, the strawberries are the variety Korona. I used a splash of crème de cassis and a dash of sugar to marinate the strawberries. Serve with crème fraîche freshly ground pepper. No need to spread the crust with strawberry jam.
Delicious!
