Fish & Quips! Baked beans on toast
Sam at Becks and Posh has organised an event to celebrate British Cuisine, especially the English Cuisine. I adore chefs like Gary Rhodes and Ainsley Harriott. I like Porridge and a full Scottish breakfast served in B&B in Pitlochry. I have also to admit that some English food can be very disappointing and expensive too! But I have good memories when I had a language stay as teenager in Bognor Regis. There I had the first time in my live for lunch, like today. And I still love it, so do my sons.

| 50 | grams | Butter | |
| 1 | Onion, chopped | ||
| 3 | cloves | Garlic , chopped | |
| 100 | grams | Panchetta, chopped | |
| 700 | grams | Butter beans, cooked, rinsed and drained | |
| 3 | tablesp. | Tomato purée | |
| 5 | teasp. | Brown sugar | |
| 3 | dashes | Tabasco sauce | |
| 100 | ml | Red wine | |
| 400 | grams | Cherry tomatoes, tinned | |
| H | TO SERVE | ||
| Sausage, griddled and sliced | |||
| Slices bread, toasted | |||
| Fried egg | |||

Directions
1. Heat the butter in a small pan and fry the onion, garlic and pancetta for 4-5 minutes and give into a 3.5 litre crockpot
2. Add the butter beans, tomato purée, sugar, Tabasco sauce, red wine and cherry tomatoes and simmer on "high" for 6 h.
3. To serve, place the baked beans on toast and top with the sausage and fried egg
