My Bavarian husband calls these pfannenkuchen, and my Austrian friend calls them klettitten--and both like them for breakfast with either jam or lingonberries. I like them with lingonberries the most. Is there a different name for them in northern Germany? I don't have a cool pan like yours, though!
Cyndi, crêpes are the french version of pancakes. They are much thinner than pancakes. The crêpes batter is more fluid than a pancake batter. So in the North of Germany we eat Pfannkuchen and Crêpes and for the crêpes the cool pan is the best :-)
