Crepes and other names

My Bavarian husband calls these pfannenkuchen, and my Austrian friend calls them klettitten--and both like them for breakfast with either jam or lingonberries. I like them with lingonberries the most. Is there a different name for them in northern Germany? I don't have a cool pan like yours, though!

Crêpes are not pancakes or Pfannkuchen

Cyndi, crêpes are the french version of pancakes. They are much thinner than pancakes. The crêpes batter is more fluid than a pancake batter. So in the North of Germany we eat Pfannkuchen and Crêpes and for the crêpes the cool pan is the best :-)
